Does Your Air Conditioning System Need Maintenance?

With summer weather having officially arrived here in the Delaware Valley, the weather is only going to continue to get warmer in the Philadelphia region. This means that it is imperative that your commercial air conditioning unit is in working order so that you are not left without it during the heat of summer. For this reason, it is imperative that you have your air conditioning system inspected and maintained before any issues that are wrong with it cause it to shut down all together. However, one problem is that many business owners are too busy running their business to remember that their air conditioning system needs to be maintained or that repairs may be necessary until it is too late, and there is no air conditioning. Our maintenance agreements take the worry and remembering to service this equipment off the owner’s to do list. Here are a few of the signs that you can look for that are indicative that your air conditioner may be in need of repairs if proper maintenance has not been completed.

You Hear Excessive Noises
While an air conditioner is meant to make a certain amount of noise when it is running, this noise should not be overly loud or excessive. If you have noticed that your air conditioning system has gotten louder recently, then it is imperative that you have it inspected and repaired by an air conditioning professional. This will help to ensure that any parts that may be failing causing this excess noise can be repaired before they cause greater issues/damage to your system.

Your Air Conditioner Is Not Emitting Cold Air
One of the most obvious signs that there is something wrong with your air conditioning system is if you notice that it is blowing warmer air than it once did. Furthermore, you may have noticed that it takes your system longer than normal to cool your building to the set temperature. If you notice either of these conditions, do not assume that it is a sign of your air conditioner aging; it could be likely that your system needs maintenance, and/or repairs, or that it even needs something as simple as an inspection and cleaning. Having a professional technician take a look at your system will help you to determine what is wrong with it, and it will ensure that it works properly all summer.

Weak Airflow
Another obvious sign that something may be wrong with your AC system is if it is not blowing a sufficient amount of air. While older systems will begin to gradually blow less air, a sudden drop in the volume of air your system puts out could be indicative of a bigger issue.

Knowing these signs should help you to know when you need to have your air conditioning system repaired. However, these are just a few of the many signs that can be indicative that your system may be in need of maintenance before a costly breakdown happens resulting in a big repair bill. That’s why it is advisable that you have your system inspected, maintained, and serviced throughout the year. This will ensure that any issues are resolved and that your system runs properly throughout the summer. Contact us to find out about having your air conditioning system serviced and maintained. Thanks for pointing out that if you hear excessive noises in an air conditioning unit, you should have it inspected by a professional immediately. If I ran a business, I would want to work with a commercial air conditioning repair company that I could rely on when it came to issues such as excessive noises. Having a strong airflow is also how I would want an AC unit to operate, so I would make sure that the professionals I worked with were good at working with airflow.

I always have wondered if the airflow was supposed to be just small because the air conditioning system was pumping all over the house. After reading this article I think I might want it to get checked out. I dont want bigger problems to persist the longer I have the system. I will have to call a contractor or something.

Thank you for pointing out that your air conditioning shouldn’t be making any loud weird noises. Making sure your company has working AC seems very important. Hopefully, companies look into finding the best HVAC contractors to help them with this.

Just this morning, my husband noticed that our unit in the master’s bedroom has an excessive and unusual sound. I wasn’t able to hear it because I was cooking at that time. If we will base it on your explanation, it seems that we need to have it checked and request for its maintenance.

It got me when you said that the unit needs to be checked when the air flow is not giving a sufficient amount of air. I guess we need to hire professionals tomorrow because we are feeling too cold inside the house since the warmth of the air from the unit is not enough. We find ourselves covering our body with coats that we usually wear outside because of this.

Thanks for pointing out that if your AC unit should not make overly loud noises. My son has been complaining about the weird, rattling and buzzing sound on his room, and it has greatly affected his sleep. I’ll be sure to go reach out to a professional air conditioning technician that can look for any abnormalities with your unit.

It’s good to know that excessive noises coming from your air conditioner might mean it’s time for a repair. It seems like this would be caused by a part not working properly or something that had become damaged. I agree that you will need to have it inspected first by a professional and then repaired by them if necessary.

I liked what you said about older systems blowing less air. My friend was telling me that her office is really hot and there just seems to be nothing that they can do about it. I’ll be sure to recommend to her that she think about the age of the unit and see if that helps her to figure out what’s wrong with the AC.
